NATIVE PLANT SALE

PWWS 27th ANNUAL PLANT SALE
SATURDAY MAY 9, 9:00-noon
Bethel Lutheran Church Grounds, Manassas

The best native plant bargains in town, rain or shine! Plan to arrive early for
best selection. A wide variety of spring-blooming wildflowers, including Virginia bluebells, mayapples, bloodroot, wild ginger, spring and summer phlox, and native geraniums, along with many colorful summer-blooming must-haves, such as purple coneflower, will be on offer at very reasonable prices. The sale is PWWS' only fundraising event of the year. You will get great plants donated by local gardeners who care about our environment and who love growing native plants. Celebrate 25 Years of PWWS


SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2008. PRINCE WILLIAM WILDFLOWER SOCIETY'S ANNUAL MEETING at MERRIMAC FARM Come and celebrate the Prince William Wildflower Society’s quarter of a century anniversary at the Stone House at Merrimac Farm, Saturday October 4, 12:00-3:00 p.m. Bring a main dish, a salad, dessert, or vegetable to share with the group in a potluck picnic; PWWS will provide drinks and plates. There will be a short business meeting where we elect officers (see newsletter). Kim Hosen will lead a tour of the property after the picnic, plus there will be door prizes and other goodies available. Contact Karen Waltman, geraldwaltman@hotmail.com, to let her know what you are bringing (or just show up.) All are welcome.

All plants offered for sale have been propagated by members or shared from their gardens--none have been collected from the wild. Join PWWS members for an entertaining and informative evening, replete with delicious treats. The program starts at 7:30 p.m. and is held at the Bethel Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. (Bethel Lutheran is right off Rte 234 business and the Prince William Hospital.)
